Ring Sizing Information
For Gold Rings Only
After your order is placed, we will send you a finger gauge to confirm your ring size. The sizer will be shipped to you by priority mail. When you recieve it, try it on in the morning and evening in a place with a moderate room temperature. Your rings will only fit perfect half the time. The other half your rings will be a little to loose or a little to tight depending on the weather and your body. Try to find a ballance of not too loose and not too tight. The sizer will measure Whole and Half Sizes, but if you need a Quarter Size and it was available on the (Choose Your Ring Size) drop down menu, you may order one. For Example: If the 10 LE is too tight and the 10 1/2 LE is too big you may want to go with an inbetween size of 10 1/4 LE. Once you have confirmed your ring size please email it to sales@celticcolours.com or call 804-740-6112 EST and your ring order will begin. The rings will not be made until your size has been confirmed. Gold Rings take aprox. 4 to 6 weeks to be made and then time to be shipped to you.
What is LE?
LE stands for Leading Edge. Most manufactures and Artisans are using a the Leading Edge system to determine ring sizes. How it works is the ring is measured from the Right Leading Edge of the ring to determine the size. Unfortunately most finger gauges still are sized from the center. For a narrow ring this will not affect the fit very much, but for a wider ring it will by about a 1/4 size. If you are getting sized from your local jeweler have him or her put the finger gauge on a ring stick and find where the Right Leading Edge of the ring falls and thats your ring size. Be aware that different jewelers have different tools, and they can be sized diffently. They can be off, up or down from what I use. If you choose to go with your local jewelers measurement we will not gaurantee that their size will match our size. We have seen tools off by a much as 1/2 size. We prefere you use our fingure gauges. Please do not guess or assume you know someones size. Some of the rings can be resized up or down one whole size for a charge, and the cost of shipping, but some can not be sized at all.
We have over 10 years of experience working with European, Irish and Scottish Jewelers and we have the experience to get you the look you want, at good price, thats fits well and you'll enjoy for years to come.
